The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis is a body of experts in the field of blood coagulation and its disorders, such as thrombosis and hemophilia. Founded in 1969, it currently has about 3000 members worldwide. It has regular members' meetings, sets standards for the laboratory testing of blood clotting, and publishes a medical journal, the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.[1]
